The Role We need a person who can run our broad range of programs from Mini Sports (under 5's) through to Life Games (school games children) through to team building for senior students and adults along with our major events such as Kidfit Triathlon. We need a hands on person who can run these activities along with office time doing quotes, emails and servicing calls to match client needs with program basics. We need a person who is motivated, can jump out of bed with a smile, can engage with children and adults alike, has a glowing personality, knows their way around an office and everything in it, has current drivers licence and a car, WWCC / Police check, knows a lot about physical fitness and sports, plus a bit of media / marketing would not go astray.
The Hours The position will be office / program based for around 15 hours per week. In addition to this any weekend work or evening work will be paid at an additional rate. Weekend work is up to the holder of the position as to whether they wish to take it on or pass to the pool of casual staff. At times of the year extra hours may be required to be worked.
The Detail The position can be a lot of fun but also takes a bit of work. Program management includes: * Working with clients to achieve the best possible outcome * Delivering positive activity * Building networks with other groups * Event management * Liaising with sponsors * General marketing * Co-ordinating staff
Selection Criteria Knowledge of Programming and Event management Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines Interpersonal skills - the ability to interact with parents, teachers and children alike Hands on sports training Excellent Office skills Ability to supervise and direct staff Prepare quotes and manage budgets
